Amazon.com Inc. is spreading has been spreading its reach globally and building its brand as the go-to place in which customers are guaranteed secure payment, two-day shipping, and name-brand products. While it dominates domestically in the US, the company is continuously working on being a power player in the Asian Pacific and elsewhere. ââ¬Å"Amazon is investing across the company to boost the volume of products sold on its site, adding features to its Kindle line of e-readers and tablets and beefing up its inventory. The efforts may help Amazon gain share in a worldwide e-commerce market that Scott, Devitt, an analyst at Morgan Stanley, estimated will reach $1 trillion by 2016, up from $512 billion last yearâ⬠(Kucera). There are more established e-commerce companies currently taking up a large portion of the market, but Amazon has been working on this market since the early 2000s according to the Internet Retailer magazine in 2013. Amazon.com currently operates in the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and more recently Brazil. This critique will focus on the Brazilian and Asian markets in which Amazon.com has made global adjustments to access their customer base.
